The Chupacabra Is Real!
The Chupacabra, the once mythical beast was believed to be found and killed in Texas.
A student of Jerry Ayer, owner of Blanco Taxidermy School, killed the Chupacabra by placing poison in his cousin’s barn in an attempt to stop an animal that had been disturbing it. He placed the poison in the barn one evening and by the next morning he returned to find a dead Chupacabra.
When Ayer received the body of the Chupacabra he preserved it by freezing the carcass. Ayer has been in the taxidermy business for 10 years and says he’s never seen anything like it. With gray and leathery skin it resembles no other creature native to the Texas area.
As a taxidermist, Ayer plan on preserving the Chupacabra and donating the body to a local museum so people can see it for themselves.
What is a Chupacabra
The name Chupacabra translates literally from Spanish as “goat-sucker.” One common believe is that a Chupacabra is a strange breed of wild dog. “This form is mostly hairless, has a pronounced spinal ridge, unusually pronounced eye sockets, teeth, and claws.” Another theory says the Chupacabra is “a lizard-like being, appearing to have leathery or scaly greenish-gray skin and sharp spines or quills running down its back. This variety is said to have a dog or panther-like nose and face, a forked tongue protruding from it, large fangs, and to hiss and screech when alarmed, as well as leave a sulfuric stench behind.”
The first reported Chupacabra attack occurred in March 1995 in Puerto Rico where eight sheep were discovered completely drained of blood. Since then there have been countless number of attacks and sightings.
Whether they believe in the legend of the Chupacabra or not, scientists will need to answer the question, is this truely the Chupacabra? And if it’s not the creature of legend, is it safe to call this new species The Chupacabra?

Given the rising level of chupacabra attacks I was wondering whether I should limit the time my three year old plays in the backyard.
I wouldn’t worry too much about your children, unless you’ve had sighting of the Chupacabra. I’m going to assume that the Chupacabra is a reclusive creature due to the fact that not many people have seen it. Also, there are not a lot of Chupacabra attacks reported on every year. But if your truly worried about a Chupacabra attack then by all means, keep your children inside, it’s your job as a parent to keep your children safe, even if it’s from the Chupacabra.
