JohnNemec.com in 2010

by John Nemec on January 5th, 2010

So another year has come and gone, and 2009 was an exciting year for JohnNemec.com. We’ve upgraded from a static portfolio to a mildly successful WordPress blog, gained a small following of readers, and learned a lot about web development and blogging.

When I started this blog I planned on it being solely based on web development. After a lot of sole searching (and lack of content) it has grown into a site about anything and everything I’m interested in, including myself.

In the coming year I have big plans. I’m hoping to have a new custom design. And along with the new design, I plan on making a better, yet more flexible schedule for posting.

All in all I’m planning on doing 12 different things:

  1. At least 3 posts per week
  2. More web development posts
  3. A beginning PHP tutorial
  4. And a beginning JavaScript tutorial
  5. More iPhone app reviews (I may even buy some)
  6. I plan on going to more interesting places for My Boring Life
  7. I’ll share more of my Graybar work
  8. Expand on my interest in the paranormal
  9. Try to gather more guest illustrators
  10. Once a month movie review (just an excuse to go to the movies)
  11. Flesh out the forum section
  12. and Try to learn how to create a WordPress plugin – and share my knowledge
  13. Now that my winter break is over it sounds like I have my work cut out for me. I’d better get to work. I hope you have a great 2010 on JohnNemec.com and thanks for reading.

  1. I expect your post in 2010. and I hope see more posts about seo, because I’m learning seo and want to learn more about seo.

    • Yeah, I should add more SEO posts to my list. I will write more about SEO and I’ll post links to SEO articles when I find them. I don’t know about you, but I always find it useful to have a good list of links to articles that I can reference back too. It saves me the trouble of bookmarking 20 different pages.
